Is time always exact, definite and precise as science has quantified it?  Sometimes it feels that time may pass by so fast when were preoccupied and yet so slow when we are not doing anything.   Which is the real time?  This film translates visually the two aspects of time which we all experience: the physical time versus the psychological time.

Aissa Peñafiel is a fourth year film student from UP Film Institute.  She loves the outdoors and is always out looking for her next adventure.   Testing her limits both physically and mentally is a challenge that she likes setting for herself in everything that she does.

Making Out

by Sasha Palomares

3 mins

Inspired by Andy Warhol’s "Kiss," MAKING OUT is a video collage of just that – couples making out. Composed of video clips generated using the computer game SIMS 2, the work is an endless stream of   different animated couples making out in different places and ways. MAKING OUT experiments with the possibility of making a film with a medium not originally meant for filmmaking. At the same time, it attacks the viewer with its artificial erotic images, arousing his curiosity and or otherwise.

Sasha B. Palomares is a 4th year film student in the UP Film Institute. One of her goals is to establish herself as a female filmmaker and cinematographer. Another one of her goals is to own a chow chow one day. But for now, her main goal is to live through her thesis.

A young film major struggles with her thesis — way, way beyond the four corners of the classroom. A story of protracted performance art.

Karl Fredrick M. Castro just turned 21 last week. A graduate of the Philippine High School for the Arts, he is now a senior film major at the UP Film Institute. He loves graphic design and his film organization, UP Sining at Lipunan. He firmly believes that the recent 300 percent increase in UP tuition is downright unjust. Last year, he was editor in chief of the Philippine Collegian. Currently, he is struggling with his own thesis work.

quote and quote last day namin sa pisay nung bday ko, june 3. ayus masaya pero pagod. pero nakapaghpahinga ako ng ilang araw after that, kaya swabe lang. me 2 seqs pa kami na ishu-shoot na iniisked pa hanggang ngayon (ata). Ayus!

———————————————————————————-
